PureBasic Code-Archive v1.6

Post by Andre »

Dear PureBasic community !

Its available now, first version of my collected PureBasic sourcecodes. They should become part of a new PureBasic support site, as this is currently under development here the direct link: http://www.purearea.net/pb/CodeArchiv/CodeArchiv.html

Hope, its useful for many PureBasic coders...

How did You collect all these tips ?

it would be useful to put a link to the forum post
because my code has been improved by other members.

But it's already very good. :D

Collecting the tipps was the work of more than 1 year. Looking at each forum post, copy & paste, trying the code, sorting into right directory etc.... 8)

Links to forum tipps will be there in a next release, they are sometimes already in the code examples.

Denis or other french PB coder: if you send me french translations of the main link on CodeArchiv.html, the note on top of the filelist and of the directory names (look at the german site, they has also german descriptions in brackets after each directory name), I can easily create also a french site for the code archive.... 8)

Thanks, Andre! :D

Question: What about tips that are now obsolete? For example:

http://www.purearea.net/pb/CodeArchiv/F ... meValid.pb

This tip is now a native PureBasic command (IsFilename). Perhaps these
should be removed from the archive? Up to you I guess.

Excellent work !!!

It's very important to have a site like this, for quick resource location...

Thanks! :o

Suggestion

Post by Cor »

If bitmaps are needed in source, just include them in a subdirectory data, and change the source so that the examples run at once

e.g.

Graphics\Anim\animgif.pb

Graphics\Anim\data

place the animgif.gif in the data directory

Now do that for all examples which needed some kind of external data

Just a suggestion
