avoiding flamewars ....

Post by SimpleMind »

I've read this topic, found it closed. I find the closure very immature and undemocratic. Just to avoid a flamewar. Rings go and behave yourself.

This is the same behaviour as the director guy of PowerBasic, don't immitate him Rings. You don't need to modarate it in this way and purebasic is as it is on some topics slow and others faster than everthing else. Let flow, let it flow.

[edit by Rings, changing Topic]

Changed it back.

You've been here long enough to know it has "flowed" many many times already.

Rings did us all a great service by closing it.

He'll do us a big service by closing this one too :)

cheers

Nothing immature about it, it's just that no topic of this nature has ever yielded any useful discussions in the past and every last one has turned into a flamefest. You can search the topic and look up what's been said before if you want.

I'm with rsts, this one should be locked too.

The only thing I can add that I don't think has been said before is that whether you use PowerBasic or PureBasic, your success rate with women will remain pretty much what it is now.

Just use this manual - maybe it helps with "taping down something/someone":

I'm glad we made your day. Now, if some kind person would give me some extra tape, I could reassemble this exploded hamster that got this way due to massive overuse.

As the teachers always say: "But in this school we have no democracy". Btw.: This is an international board. Why should we block chinese people through the fact we've got a democracy?

You'd better ask your wife that one fangles... I wouldn't know the answer myself as I can't get out following the incident with the double-sided tape you sent me; you b*stard!

How has moderation ever had anything to do with democracy!

The thread was locked because it was just flame bait. Word to the wise - people here use PureBasic for a reason, it's not as if there are no other options, or that people are not aware of them. If speed was the only concearn in choosing a language then we'd all be using assembly, PureBasic as a development platform ticks all the boxes for people here.

The thread itself though was not even a good argument, it was dead before it even begun. Wow, PowerBasic can do nothing 3 times faster than PureBasic can do nothing, I wonder if doing something will affect these figures or if I should just post my findings for discussion.

 Now THAT'S a quote to remember! ;)
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).
