I think they will expose the API in Windows 7. For previous version you have to use VC++/#.Net to access it IIRC. There is some specialized dll about it as well.

I thought they already exposed the API for it in some sort of office development kit or something? Can't remember really, read something about it somewhere I think. The ribbon thing for win 7 is the same they are using in office. Maybe i'm getting the two confused or something.

When they say the first thing to go is the memory, they aren't kidding. :)

I've grown used to the Ribbon in Office - I think it's here to stay.

Anyone got an example of any PB code that generates a Ribbon interface yet?

I prefer that to the old system, with too much icons everywhere. It's sorted, and categorised. But I ***hate*** to not have all the options also in the menu!

Please NO Ribbons..................Ugly interface, not Human intuitive. Simple interfaces are the best.

Yes! Ribbons for everything! Even put the desktop in one big Ribbon! Even the screen savers should have Ribbons! Even have Ribbon commands for PureBasic 5.0 with all PureBasic produced windows will having Ribbons! Ribbons Ribbons Ribbons forever!

MUHahahahahahahahahahah! :)

Actually, if you choose classic in the windows settings you don't get the ribbons I don't think.
