PB Update 3.70, 3d collisions?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

PB Update 3.70, 3d collisions?

Post by BalrogSoft »

Hi...

I amazed with the new update of PB, the 3d engine commands are very great, but i dont find any collisions commands between objects, isnt supported the collisions? and another question is if collisions will be added soon to purebasic, i want to start make some 3d games, but im think that i wait a little of make 3d game with PB functions if collisions dont be updated soon...

Bye...

ill agree on that one... it doesnt make much sense without having any collision commands... this would be needed very much

Actually, the OGRE team is finishing a collision and physic framework (yes, like the HalfLife 2 demo flying out of there). Once this is stable, I integrate it in PureBasic. Shouldn't take so long I guess (1 month ?).

ok, i think that i will start (first, i will finish Tank Wars II) to design some 3d game... perhaps i make a Spy vs Spy 3D with OGRE, or start of the design a 3d MMORPG. And about physics framework are very good news too...

Just wanted to say, Thanks Fred for the update, and especially for the scrollbars!

p.s. So what's next on the agenda? Where does PB go from here? Other than the continuation of the 3D commands (collisions, physics, etc) the two other areas I'd like to see are an incredible manual (the current manual is getting better with each version, but it could be so much more!) and some more gui objects (a richedit object springs to mind and would be VERY welcome!). Ok, just thought of some more: A built-in mod player (one that does not require a license for commercial distribution and plays .IT mods, at least). Great work, Fred! Thanks again!

Like the EditGadget which was included in 3.70?
If you paint your butt blue and glue the hole shut you just themed your ass but lost the functionality.

WhooHoo!! Downloaded 3.70 but hadn't looked at that yet! Thanks! (And thanks, Fred! - Could it really have all of the features of a richedit 'child window'? :D )

I think it is stable now, 0.11.0 has been released.

I think integrate OGRE in PB is the top priority for Fred.
