[ANSWERED] XP Skin Support

Post by Tipperton »

What does this project option do?

I tried generating source code on a project with it on and off and the generated code was identical.

Thanks!

Yes I am and I know what it means.

My question is does it even do anything because from what I can tell it doesn't.

The source code produced is the same and the windows of the compiled program get skinned by the XP theme regardless of the setting.

Of course the source stays the same, it just adds a .manifest resource to your executable.

Ah OK

And I figured out why compiled programs look the same with or without that option, I don't use the generated source files, instead I copy and paste them into my own files. That way, I don't have to worry about Visual Designer over writting files with my code in it.

Thanks!
