Ok, I read that "Amen" but still just wanted to give my 2ct. ...

As a professional myself (15yrs+ experience) I'd highly recommend V2's
proposals, especially product placement, press and website re-design.

I'm not sure if the PB Team actually WANTS more attention (the more
attention you get the more freedom you lose) but all the things mentioned
WILL help in gaining more sales (not an entirely bad thing) and it seems like
there're a lot of people here willing to help, which means (next to) no cost.

V2: Very appealing logo btw

Welll how about a PB Website redesign Contest or something ? *g*

at least it would be a start =P The current one while simple structured is soo out of date ( also the screens etc. ).

just my 2 cents.

Well, it would make sense if Fred was interested, which doesn't seem to be the case ;)

We have such threads about a website relaunch almost twice a year. A lot of people (me included) made several design concepts for a new website. The result was always the same like it will be here, NULL. You all have good intentions but this will unfortuneatly lead nowehere as long as Fred doesn't realize the serious need of a professional website as well as the introduction of basic marketing strategies.

What would be nice is to defeat PB bugs and to improve PB.
The other is nonsense.

Yeah, increasing sales and making money is nonsense. How could we even consider thinking about this? I guess we are just inferior compared to your intellect.

For some people, yes. Money isn't everything. Obviously Fred is one of those,
because if he really wanted to make a bucketload of money from PureBasic,
then he would be pushing it harder with marketing than he currently is.

From what I've seen in the history of posts here, Fred went from working on
PureBasic part-time, to full-time, then back to part-time. He has never said
why, so we don't know if was due to lack of buyers, or time, or if it became
too bothersome, or what. But now that it's back to part-time, he obviously
doesn't need to rely on it for an income. Hence no need to update the web
site and so on.

I'm not talking about a bucketload of money, just more money. And you need to understand, it's not about making Fred rich but to help spreading PureBasic. So maybe one day it will be as easy to find PB code for a certain problem as it is finding C++ or VB code today.

But afterall, I don't give a shit. It's Fred software, and as long the forum is active and the updates are coming I don't care.

lol.

if PB had 10.000 sales over night, fixing bugs would be a problem nice to have...
