PB 4.20 install error

Hi, all.

I downloaded the full version of PureBasic 4.20 and (having uninstalled the previous version) attempted to install it. But I got the following error and the installation failed.

Error creating registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\PureBasic_is1

RegCreateKeyEx failed; code 5.

Access is denied.

I don't know what the error means; I have never touched the registry before and I am quite hesitant to start. What should I do? Any help would be much appreciated.

mmmm.... Have you any registry security or protection tool?
Or maybe its a problem from your user access, check with another user with admin access if possible.

Thanks for the reply, Wolf.

I forgot to mention in my post that the above error occurred on a Windows XP MCE box, and I do have Windows admin rights and did when the error occurred.

Hmm. I don't have any registry tools, not that I'm aware of. Do you think one would help, and do you have a specific one in mind?
