Reisekostenrechner/travel-cost-calculator

Post by jamirokwai »

Tada!

My first Application done (and in coding process) with PB 4.20 on Mac OS X!

The first is a travel-cost-calculator for internal purposes. It helps you in calculating
the money your (german) company would give you for company travel expenses.
We us this Application on a regular, almost daily base... It's installed on a Mac OS X
Leopard Server, for direct access by 14 employees. 2 employees are using it on Windows.

As it is coded internally, I cannot give you the Application :( Hopefully, my boss
will allow to publish it on my webpages... If so, I will post the link

See the screenshot... Nothing special, but only 284k Application (with Icons) and
895 Lines of code. Compiles and works great on Windows and Linux also...

Hi jamirokwai.

Looks good and nice to know that PB comes to mac with success. I never used a mac but maybe next time I will take a closer look on it. Sure, with PB installed. :-)

Looks like a useful program.
Cannot wait for a Dutch version.
Or English?

The tool is suitable for German governmental restrictions regarding the
refunds for travel-cost for companies only. I doubt, The Netherlands use the
same system or data for refunding travel-cost as Germany does?

It would become interesting, when the EU gives us a law for travel-cost-
refunding which would fit into all European countries...

Sorry for that. But I think it's a lot easier to get a refund in the Netherlands, isn't it?

I'm not sure. As an employee it depends mostly on your contract.
(there are governmental/taxes refunds though when distance > 10km and your employer doesn't pay.)
For companies, I don't know how the system works. I'll bet it's done through taxes.

But, in the end, with all those trafficjams and insane gas prices, we are all loosing money.
