I made a small Direct3D example in PureBasic, maybe you want to have a look:
http://files.connection-refused.org/pbD3D.zip
Hope this works on all of your PCs.
Source may follow after clean-up but I'm basically up to code something more useable...
Many thanks to Fred for the enlightenment and Danilo for converting the DirectDraw-headers and CallDX() !!

Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.

Hi. Traumatic,
Great
Could you consider release the source so we all could learn from it.

no, only the necessary d3d ones and parts of d3dutil.
dinput, dsound etc. is still missing.
what does fred occasionally say: wait and see

hmm.... I must admit I'm quite disappointed about this thread.
I counted 100+ downloads in the serverlogs but not even 1/4 that much replies.
Ok, I guess you all liked my OpenGL-Intro more...

OK, just so you don't think we are all ignoring you
I tried it, it worked fine on PIII 600, GF2. Myself, I'm not much interested in D3D but I'm sure others are. I think you will get more interest by releasing some source code.
