Ah.. pointers can be a sticky business, to be sure and get you into a lot of difficult-to-find trouble if you'e not careful! :)

But they can also increase efficiency (speed) of a program if used cleverly. I've seen sorting routines, for example, that were made over 1000 times faster by converting them to use pointers 8O . That's a substantial improvement any way you look at it.

Like women, you can't live with'em, can't live without'em! ;)
