It would be overkill, but I can see many uses for interactive content embedded in your app.

The web gadget has to be tested cross-platform and even same-platform across different browser configurations, css styles, etc. and is not the solution I'm looking for.
Also in IE the page will "click" every time I change the page.
You should be able to play flv files with the standard movie commands, just be sure to install the directshow flv splitter and required codecs with your application.
