Aye, like Sparks I am more than capable of letting rip with the more colorful metaphors, but I certainly wouldn't do it in a public forum; at least not in an aggressive manner.

Still, theFool, as hot headed as he can be, can nevertheless be a good laugh -providing you stear away from politics, and religion! I've been on the receiving end of one of his outbursts once, through pm, but the apology I subsequently received more than made up for that. Indeed, and despite the gap in years between the two of us, I have had cause to ask him for advice in the past and received some very helpful pointers (hardware related).

I agree though that a 24 hour 'cooling off period' as a message to tone the language down is not a bad idea. It's like a hot day when my nubile young neighbour is out tending the garden,... I have to lock myself in a cupboard for 24 hours whilst continually bashing myself over the head with a frying pan.... Uhm, but enough about that! :)

No idea where to start :)

Well first up, a thanks to all the positive people in this thread hehe
luckily for me an overwhelming percentage.
Freak wrote:He is not banned... yet. (I guess Berikco just played with the rank titles again)
Well check your definitions again. Even if i was kept out for 24h, it was a 24h ban. Doesn't matter though its just definitions of words.
Sparkie wrote: I couldn't agree with you more on this freak. I know some think it's cool or maybe even mature to use foul language, but IMO it's quite the opposite.
agreed, absolutely. Nothing cool about it.
Rook wrote: He has seemed a bit more agressive of late. If I were to use my EEd in Educational Psychology I would say he was under some stress / duress. Perhaps self-generated. I know of no cause.
Self generated or self generated.. Rather an overreaction from my side on something else. But perhaps thats the definition of 'self generated', that i overreacted. :)
I do think he is a bit too self destructive! But I see that in myself as well!
probably a "yes" again :/
refreshing or different opinion on most topics.
Its always nice to get that comment. Hmm i remember some people wanting me to start a blog or a newspaper but i think i told them how much i hate blogs (it wasn't on this forum. oh no, wouldn't dare to get started on that subject now. I would be banned for months)
Doubledutch wrote:but in my opinion the language on the forum from everyone needs to be toned down
Probably a good idea.. But hey, if you recall the thread, it was the drunk guy starting stuff up about me being obnoxious.. Since that irene cause.. No comments in this thread or Berikco's triggerfinger will crumble again
psychophanta wrote:agree, you must write the words as is, not hidden. So that we all can learn more about foul language in english
Those who write foul language words with ** should be banned
good catch :P

Oh politics and religion. My favorite subject
Well for the quite fair amount of your work and code that has helped me, it was nothing what i did :)

I have never see him help anyone or post code, he always has been in Off-topic swearing and making stupid comments.
Stay away from those brownies, they're dutch!
How about you open your eyes and look around before making
such comments?

I still wonder where Baldrick is though, he got me rolled up on this one..

Oh well, what does it all matter anyway.

Peace... (to ALMOST all of you. The exceptions probably know it already anyway..)

oh a last one

hm you're just lucky i'm in a good mood, punks 8)

HEY i bet i'm the first one who has been banned that has actually gotten purebasic team several licenses sold i bet :D

Not to mention the once in a while occasional newbie that picks up my pm or messenger address (removed that now, i got overrun all the time by strangers) who would like some private assistance..

Heck, that old thing of the trainerlib still gets people in from google searches a few times a year, then they write me with questions heh.
Oh heck, fun to see something so damn simple still being alive :P

Oh but no, lets BAN him for being attacked by some drunken forum user named BALDRICK.

Not sure I can agree with that statement TF. IMO, it wasn't Baldrick's comments that got you banned...it was how YOU reacted to those comments. I fully understand why you reacted the way you did...believe it or not, I too was once your age.

Sparks, I can't believe you were ever theFool's age! Come on, we all know you were not 'born' in the same way as us lesser mortals and that you just 'appeared' one day on the top of a mountain, conjured into being to answer all of our coding questions!

In fact I have been searching for evidence that you are in fact a sentient program residing within the MSDN servers. How else can we explain your un-nerving ability to find the most obscure facts buried deep within MS' databases?

So stop pretending you understand our concerns and get back to fulfilling your destiny!

I think TheFool is ok, he just needs to get a little bit more extreme, I mean, after extreme left and extreme right it's about time for extreem middle, isn't it?

Frankly, TheFool neads a few more broken hearts, a fight with the tax agency, a couple of years abroad, three stock market crashes, a couple of flat tires in a dark and stormy night, perhaps a little flu now and again, a girlfriend to replace his Hustler collection (or a boyfriend if he is so inclined, not my problem as long as its not me) and finally a little reincarnation and THEN he's going to be allright... :-)

I think he should become as wise and self composed as me, relentless in my pursuit of undeniable reliability

Well.... okay. Perhaps not :P

I have come up with a few really really nasty answers to this one but i won't tell you them!!! Now you can spend your time wondering

Well i agree with your statement and i probably also knew that before writing the comment in the first place, but i didn't really overreact until someone came up talking about he'd like to block me when i thought i was actually making rather calmed reply's. I mean, i think i actually took time to write an explanation without any real bad words until Kale popped up with his "boohoo moderators this looks purebasic look bad from the outside" and freak came on with his "yeah i'd like to block thefool" and me then setting off with the "BAN ME" thread

I don't think the moderators (or kale haha) was ever my age though

You know, I was having a nice drink up there on the mountaintop and suddenly this man just stands there in his latex batman suit.
I mean come on.. What are the odds?
If it could just have been a chick then but oh no. Luckily he quickly flew away you know, otherwise i could have been hiding under that chair all day.

True, I remember it was a cold October morning and when I hit the ground (FYI, my species is created from guano droppings) I broke my oversized nose.
TF wrote:...latex batman suit
No latex here TF. Nothing but the best as my suit is made of a special mixed blend of nylon and rubber. On those long journeys, it helps in releasing all the, ahhhhh...ummm...well you know. ;)
