Linux/ODBC?

I am trying to use PB database functions in Fedora8

PB help file mention : PB database functions supports Linux
but PB help file only describe Windows/ODBC

Is it really true that PB/Linux is using ODBC for database connection in Linux?

Does anybody have experience of using Linux/ODBC?
Where to download?
How to use it?

Install iodbc.dev with the paketmanager of your distribution
