Why was the "MS rule world thread" locked?

For everything that's not in any way related to PureBasic. General chat etc...

To be honest, locking a thread before it has even started is beyond Draconian. The thread in question could easily have developed into something quite interesting and without straying from a 'mature' path.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but I thought that the off-topic forum was for threads like the one which was locked?
I may look like a mule, but I'm not a complete ass.

Then why is it called 'Off topic'?

Also, because i'm now a moderator, things are going to get a little more draconian with the locks and bans if the tone of this forum doesn't improve to at least an adult level of discussion.

All hail Emperor Kale!

Kale: By cutting the thread off at the first post, don't you think your a bit power mad?
