Hi,
what do you think about an extra PROJECT-FORUM, here on the board. Where people suggest interesting topics for a project and search for people to help them, like
viewtopic.php?t=5847
Maybe this would support the creation of some bigger pb-projects??
Just an idea.
Regards, benny!

Benny, your idea sounds great!, but I think we must spend our time and efforts to improve the PB itself. What about to extend the features of the language, improve functionality of existing functions and make some new ones. For example I think the panelgadged is to much elementary, and we can add a parameter to tell the kind of panel we need; raised, sunken, and flat.
Like this there is a lot of improvements to achieve.
Good luck:)

I came from Delphi world, and the most important factor who explain the succesfull of this tool is the huge users community and boards with free code and components to extend the capabilities of language.
I think if Fred made some tricks to the core of PB enabling it to use external components from users community, everyone earns.

Hi ... thank you for your response. Of course we (the community) should primaraly do whatever we can to improve PB itself. But nevertheless, PureBasic is rather stable rigth now and in my eyes already very powerful so that you are able to realize even bigger projects.
And that was my suggestion ... to give people a platform where they can talk about a current project. For example, if someone wants to create a game, he or she could ask for help in grafik, sound or whatever matters.
Maybe a bigger project realized in PB could make PureBasic more popular [which it deserves to be]!!!!
We ( the users ) have already the ability to extend PureBasic with DLL's or UserLibs.
However, you are absolutely right, that a community which actively supports a language is very important.
Well, will see how it develops in future.
