Any chance you format your text as well as your code? It's a nightmare to read.

What you dont understand

Post by Dr_Wildrick »

What you don't understand is that English is not my first language, it is not even my third language. So if you don't like what I write - don't read my posts. A simple solution.

With all due respect, your posts are helpful and your contributions appreciated. Your code and explanation add understanding to the topics but are hard to read.

It's mainly just the formatting. Things like indenting and an occasional carriage return. I don't think anyone is refering to your use of language. No offense instended.

Doc, this is great!!! Wildly wonderful work!!! What Fluid meant was that he wished you would include a blank space between each paragraph of your description. Each paragraph being an idea and etc... :D

That would make it easier for non-native Anguish speakers to conceptualize and decode. :)

Keep up the good work! 8)

PS there are autoformatters out there for PB code so if someone really wanted it done THEY could use one!
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!

Whatever.....
Here - just for you because I have noting better to do with my time than explain 12 lines of code to someone who is not paying me.
 Likewise, you don't have to post if there's some financial loss involved.

Implying that you don't format your code generally? I just copy-paste mine to the forum, peoples conventions differ but I find most of it okay to read.

Glad I'm not supporting your code

You don't need to read it. That's the compiler's job. ;)
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

Ah rats.

What is the matter here?

Those of us who throw around criticisms and put-downs for the bloody sake of it need to take a good hard look at themselves. If the need for self-validation goes down that path then a course in building self-esteem and developing ego management is recommended.

And those of us who are so bloody fragile and thin-skinned that we can't ignore the above types need to take the same frigging course in self-esteem and ego management.

What are we becoming? A forum for wankers and wimps? We can't allow others to have opinions and individuality? We can't abide others posting snippets? We can't tolerate small errors or discrepancies in how we perceive things should be? We can't stand by our opinions and posts and we retract/delete them.

Sheesh.

Admin, can the self-editing of posts be disabled?

It is abused more often than it is correctly used these days.

You mixing up quality of code with common sense.

That only applies to the code, not the text. Image

As always you are exaggerating to the upmost extend. But what I really love is the phrase "tolerate small errors"! Image

I hope our self proclaimed Doctor is more mature with his students.

I thought Fluid Bytes comment regarding his use of formating was not out of line, I don't know why Dr had to make the kinds of replies he did to it, especially when his posts were about standards anyway.

Personally, I won't miss someone who's so fragile that he's going to go sulk like that. Even if he was stooping to our level to lend us the benefit of his PHD intelect.

I wonder if his students cause him to walk our of the class a lot!

Every tip had a dose of condesention with it
