Macro viewer for the tools menu

Please excuse me if this already exists in some form but currently if I'm writing a macro and I want to see how it's being expanded I've been deliberately putting a syntax error in it and then the debugger shows me the expanded macro. I just ignore the syntax error and look at the rest of it, but it seems to me that a good thing would be a proper tool that views it. If you can already do that, could someone please tell me where it is? Else it's a feature request.
