To me, this is as important as just about any new commands I can think of, especially to the new user. A user guide would lead the newbie through the process of creating their first program, explaining 'root' commands along the way (for/next, if/endif, etc) before eventually introducing more advanced topics such as structures, program optimization, sprite usage, etc.
In addition to more complete program examples (simple games such as 'pong' or 'tetris' could teach a lot about double buffereing, getting input, etc).

Good to know! Lots and lots of tutorials will go a long way as well...
Who's doing it, anyway? (I know Fred and Benny are busy).

I used to be a nihilist but I don't believe in that any more.

Anyone who has offered to help with the docs and has access to both the CVS tree and the CVS mailing list. Currently that is Anre, freak and I, although Danilo, Fred and Fangbeast are also there (working on other things) and making suggestions about the user guide.Originally posted by Amiga5k
