Systems gets 20% of your sale (most of them) and send you a monthly check or deposit if you rich at least $50 US on your account.
You can have more than one option to offer to your customers because some systems like ShareIt dont accept all credit cards and sometimes dosent accept the card of one customer (and tha possible sale are gone!) and other systems like swreg approves most transactions.
The i give my customers the choice betwen 3 possibilities:
ShareIt - Very nice system, im working with them since 2 years ago with no problem.
SwReg.org - Very cheap system (they take less than 20% and approve most credit cards), working 2 years without any trouble.
RegNow - The BIG ones, they offer you a lot of affiliates that want to sale your software. A very good service.
And dont forget, if you have US customers, the new Yahoo PayDirect that cost a lot less than the others and deposit the money in your account when ever you want, you dont need to wait until the 15 of every month like in ShareIt. The only problem is that the customer MUST live in US to buy using Yahoo PayDirect.
I dont recommend PayPal, its very complicated for the customers.
Hope that this info helps.
Of course dont forget to submit your software to CNET download.com, it costs something like $99 US MONTHLY but it worth every cent.
Tucows... dosent exists any more. Its just CNET all the other systems togheter dosent give you the downloads that CNET drives to you.
One more thing:
Store your file with movedigital.com, its the best file hosting and it costs only ONE DOLLAR a giga and only counts the completed downloads.
Using others file hosting i pay some months about $120 US!!!!
With movedigital i pay maybe $20 US for the same downloads!!
Good luck and hope it helps
Best Regards
