The PureBasic Documentation in PDF format

Post by freak »

Hello,

the PureBasic manual that is included with the package is now also
available as a more printer friendly PDF version.

There is a full version which includes pretty much everything from the .chm version
(IDE manual, language reference, library reference), but is therefore very big (644 pages for the english one).

There is also a shorter version with only IDE manual and language reference.
This one is only 166 pages and probably better suited for printing (unless you have a lot of spare ink and paper ;)),
espechially since these parts do not change too much with new PB versions as
some of the libraries helppages do.

They are available here:
English: http://www.purebasic.com/support.php
German: http://www.purebasic.com/german/support.php
French: http://www.purebasic.com/french/support.php

The online documentation linked from these pages has also been updated for 4.10

Great I like this very much.

Just one thing: It seems like LaTex is used. I dont' know whether some converting is done before Latex is doing it's job.

If yes beware, because

Code: Select all

"Using something" awesome
was/will be converted to:

Code: Select all

Üsing somethingäwesome
This reduced readability somewhat. So maybe this could be fixed (in the conversion)? (I just don't remember the correct command, it's already some years I used it the last time..)

Not a big thing but still annoying (on a great documentation)

There is a conversion of LaTeX reserved characters, but i forgot about this one.
Its fixed, thanks.

We just have to wait for Fred to build/upload a new version...

Just one lil Thing:
"PureBasic 4.10 - Windows"
- why is the Manual not "Crossplatform" ?
