Am I missing the obvious

Hi all,

I have just downloaded and installed the Linux version of purebasic.
I followed the install instructions and all went well.
I was expecting something a bit like VB but I could not launch an editor, I only had a command line util called pbcompiler. All the website screenshots show a IDE/editor type enviroment.
After browsing the PB site I downloaded some files called 'PureBasic Editor 3.51' as these seemed to be what I need
BUT
how and what do I do to these file in order to get the IDE/editor enviroment working,
or am I on completely the wrong track

I don't think there is a native editor for the Linux release yet, the screenshots you saw was from the windows version. But this shouldn't be a problem as there are loads of free editors for Linux around..

Read the Linux section on this forum for some additional info, admitedly not very much info, but still...

I've been using my screen name for a long time too. It would confuse a lot of people if I changed it.
