This looks like a new limitation since final release.
Why? This is essential and it makes it not really cross-platform.

True, but we have a problem with the actual PPC compiler, and we won't put a lot of time on it especially because of the Intel only Mac. It wasn't working before, but no warnings was raised, so it could lead to hard to locate bugs. For now, just remove the extra parameters (shouldn't be a general case, 10 parameters or more procedures are rare).
