[Game] Purebr3aker is out!

Post by djes »

Following Lethal Judgment and Two, Purebreaker third part is now available (yes, lot of news this month!). Just follow this link: http://www.bgames.org/gamesen.html and there for direct download or there

You may also subscribe (free) on Live, to record your scores online, now and for all our futures productions :P

If you're finding bugs, thanks to let us know here or on BGames forum. There will certainly be some updates in the next months, with new musics.

EDIT : Please note that the game is known to be slow on Windows Vista. You must have a fast config to play on this system smoothly. It will be fixed on PB 4.20 release.

Here it is some pictures... :)

Thank you for your bug reports :) I think that yours screens cannot be switched to 1024*768*32*75hz. The program then try other refresh rates, and maybe it's crashing there. I'll do a test program to fix this. Play in windowed mode for now, please.

Game is known to be slow on Windows Vista : it will be fixed with PB 4.20. You must have a solid config to run it on this system.

The slow problem is on WinXP too. Tested with XP SP2
And the refresh rate for TFT panels is mostly 60Hz

Yes, game is trying this rate after 75Hz. I'll do a workaround soon!

Game has been tested on 10 differents PC, and has always been fluid on XP. Even on a Win98/Celeron 900/Geforce 4 MX PCI! But test panel has to be bigger, as there so much differents configs... May I ask you to comment new versions when they'll come?

The reason I am not downloading this is because I have to install it and it is not a stable release and still has bugs, even on Windows XP. If you release a download that does not have to be installed, I'll test it. (if possible)
I'm just not a fan of installing things

This is one of those games which deserves to have an installer.

BTW, djes, me and my fianceé still play your bubble puzzle game since I first saw it years ago on a blitzbasic site, I think it was blitzcoders.com. Addictive is the word to define it.

I see you keep releasing good stuff. Keep up the good work.

We'll okay, I installed it,
it flicked on some area of the screen, the black showed up for some of the sprites (when I think they should be transparent), and the game ran slow as heck.

Matt, I've done an installer because people asked me for it. Of course, I'll release a zip version because I prefer it too. The game is using 3d sprites with alpha to be as fast and beautifull possible on 1024x768x32 resolutions. I'm not a magician, I do my best to do something nice, and highly enjoyable. Are you using Windows Vista? Do you have some exotic gfx card? Do you usually have problems with standard purebasic sprites functions?

Thank you! Bobble puzzle was done especially for that, simple and fun. My pleasure you liked it! :D
