freak: I'm not sure what you meant by "poor response." Do you mean that you decided that interest is low based on downloads, forum posts, emails, etc.? If so, perhaps you are underestimating interest. Maybe some people don't even want to download a non-x86 version, or a version that does not create universal binaries, or a Beta 1. Maybe some people are not interested unless their code will compile across platforms. Maybe the released versions have not received much attention because of their quality relative to the Windows version. These are just a few reasons why I think response could be poor while interest (in an x86 universal binary-producing version whose quality is on par with the Windows version) is high.

Does anyone else think OSX market share is going to increase much when Leopard (and then 10.5.1) comes out?

The OSX market is already increasing.

Games that will come to the Mac 2007/2008:

Battlefield 2142
Enemy Territory Quake Wars
EVE Online
Gears of War
Guitar Hero 3
Neverwinter Nights 2
Star Craft 2
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Just to name a few. Most of them are Intel Mac only and there are more to come since id Tech 5 and Unreal Engine 3 are both Intel Mac ready. So where is our Intel Mac PureBasic?

Macs have been using Intel processors for over two years.

The Mac market has shifted so much, that an indie developer has a very hard time trying to sell a product if it is not made for x86s.

If you write games, check out GLBasic it now compiles for Intel Macs. It is a good alternative until PB catches up with the Mac side of things.

1. I'm already using GLBasic for games
2. GLBasic is just PPC only until the x86 libpng has been modified (shouldn't take too long)
3. I need PureBasic for my math programs and applications

Unfortunately, I was interested in an Intel version. Hopefully, that will still come someday.
