Here's mine. I set it up so long ago I can't remember if it was the default one or not. It's probably not on the cool list. :)

I don't think it's because I'm lazy. But I just don't have the need to customize everything. And I've always liked the default colors scheme, so why not go with it ;)

jap, I agree.

on win98 I customized everithing at the first time.

after the fifth re-install I just hadn't the nerve to do it all over again.

I always use default-styles today.
(except XP, I activate the "classig content" switch, but I don't use the classic style, because I like the fixable taskbar.)
oh... and have a nice day.

Only thing I customize in XP is the theme, I use the Royale theme which looks great. And offcourse Firefox. All the rest are "un"-modified.

I use the default theme with the only change being the line number and code folding background is light gray. I also increased the font size slightly for easier reading.

I find it very easy on the eyes, so easy in fact that I changed UEStudio's colors to match PB's.

Those dark background scheme's remind me of the DOS days when everything had a black background.

yap, agree.

the light but not white back is very conveniant to the eyes.
"eggshell" is e really good background-color....

I use the default colours, don't like the dark schemes at all, very gloomy. :(

A "trick" I learned a long time ago to ease eye-strain was to go into the Windows display settings and edit all the settings that were set to white by lowering the blue component a little bit producing a very light yellow.

Much more pleasing and less "strenuous" to the eye than white.

(I haven't tried it but I would guess you could also lower all the colors a little producing a very light gray as well and achieve the same effect but I find the light yellow pleasing enough to not mess with it beyond that)

I think some gray is not as conveniant as a slight color.
and from the colors, yellow (if it isn't too shiny) is the one that is most stimulating.
green is relaxing, blue is cold, red is agressive...

"mellow yellow" ;) is always a good choice
oh... and have a nice day.

I guess about 50-60% of all schemes in here are hurting my eyes. I use the default color scheme, as it is nice and I don't get headaches of it.
bye,
