jap, I agree.
on win98 I customized everithing at the first time.
after the fifth re-install I just hadn't the nerve to do it all over again.
I always use default-styles today.
(except XP, I activate the "classig content" switch, but I don't use the classic style, because I like the fixable taskbar.)

oh... and have a nice day.
I use the default theme with the only change being the line number and code folding background is light gray. I also increased the font size slightly for easier reading.
I find it very easy on the eyes, so easy in fact that I changed UEStudio's colors to match PB's.
Those dark background scheme's remind me of the DOS days when everything had a black background.

A "trick" I learned a long time ago to ease eye-strain was to go into the Windows display settings and edit all the settings that were set to white by lowering the blue component a little bit producing a very light yellow.
Much more pleasing and less "strenuous" to the eye than white.
(I haven't tried it but I would guess you could also lower all the colors a little producing a very light gray as well and achieve the same effect but I find the light yellow pleasing enough to not mess with it beyond that)
