Downloading the PB Manual?

You mean purebasic-cvs.dyndns.org right? I wouldn't say that is the best method since the library descriptions are not in the same format as they are in the manual.

Thanks for the link. I don't know how I missed that one! I am new to programming and am looking at a few Basic languages at the moment. I have been looking through various manuals to see how difficult it is to learn, and also to get a bit more info on each language itself.
