FPS decreased since yesterday !

A strange behaviour, yesterday i had a 35 FPS with my little sprite function program and today i have a 25 FPS max. I thought it was a graphic card issue or my nvidia module : no, i tested with other program like c+sdl or Bmax, no slowness ! I didn't change the program since yesterday !
Does somebody have an idea? Because i have no clue !

your app may not have changed but your Linux client may have.... Perhaps you did get an (automatic...?) client update in between your two observations?

My games slow down a bit when i'm using Beryl. Perhaps your running some sort of eye candy add-on too?

thanks for your answers, i didn't use Beryl and nothing has been installed !
I'll check tonight after the update of the Kernel
