Append text to exe then read it
Isn't this normally done with resource files? I was under the impression (although never seen it myself) that appending to exe's can annoy anti-virus scanners depending on the content of the text

It might, but consider how packagers work. Self extracting .zip files and the like. As well, this is basically what installers do. The stub is just an .exe and the data resised after it.Isn't this normally done with resource files?
