HELP: Installation

I have just got purebasic linux for my newly installed ubuntu system, I have followed the tutorial in this area. My problem is that when I run the file "purebasic" with the "./purebasic" command in the compilers directory I get the following errors:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
serial 83 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
serial 91 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3

Any ideas?
