What Joakim is offering is a platform to deliver free content. He can charge users for that if he wants.
Of course, assuming he words it properly as I said in my previous reply.

It's one thing to say: "Subscription to porn stations", and another to say, "the monthly pay is for program maintenance".

His current wording:

"Subscribe to adult content (50+ channels) "

Better wording:

"Subscribe to get more features and to support this great product"

With his current wording, he is pretty much impying that he is charging monthly for other people's free porn stations. With my example wording, he is charging monthly to offer 'extra features' and ensure future support and maintenance. With my wording, it all his to do with HIS program, and not other people's streams. It's one thing to sell your own services, it's another to sell other's services without permission..

I had a long talk about this with my wife when I first wrote my TV prog because I also wanted to create some sort of monthly plan. After talking to a lot of people, we came to the conclusion that it's all in the wording. Wrong wording can lead to big problems in the future.

PS: I hope it all works out. You have been working hard on this.
I love Purebasic.

I DON'T CHARGE MONTHLY! Stop saying that, it's a one year subscription. And if you read my disclaimer you'll see what I mean about the situation:
http://www.jlc-software.com/internet_tv_disclaimer.html

100% legal where I come from, and 20 for a year isn't much. This is the only way I can still release my program as "free" but still get paid a little for my hard work. And I can also protect children from the adult content this way!
I like logic, hence I dislike humans but love computers.

Well, as long as there is things I can improve I will. I fixed the language reset issue on update now which one user here complained about. :) I've also made it much easier to see which channels are popular (worth watching).

New in beta 4b and 5:
Redesigned the settings window
Option to select which categories to receive
Improved rating system (easier to find popular channels)
Option to remember last visited country
Fixed porn channels (no need to open any webpages)
Fixed language reset on update
I like logic, hence I dislike humans but love computers.

You can take this like a base:
Get over 3000 Stations for a small one-time fee
DVD quality movies
Unlimited TV Show Download
