Use Firefox to avoid such STDs. ;)

Anyway, it's a clone of these forums by the guy who pirated PureBasic in the
past (MysticBoy). When I say "clone", I didn't check all the links, I only said
that based on the site design.

@Blueznl: When posting URLs, you don't need the session ID part, which is
always safe to crop off (eg. just post http://forum.purebasic.cn/index.php).
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

What about this website? There's no signs of piracy.. And if you just wanted to tell the world about a chinese PureBasic site, then you didn't need to bother to do that because purebasic.cn is advertized on every chinese software portal. Just make a search for "PureBasic cn" on Google.
Cute?

Guilty by reputation. As I said, it's run by MysticBoy who was once using
and/or giving away pirated versions of PureBasic. So it appears he's set
up a forums clone there now. It's like he desperately wants to be the
official Chinese spokesperson for PureBasic or something.

My wife was born in Sichuan Province (Szechuan to the folks in the USA) and her take is very pessimistic.

The problem with China is that they have never had money. All the copyright and human safety concerns that we attempt to take for granted in our modern society are alien concepts.

The only principle in the new CHINA is MONEY!!! How can I make money off of something. It does not matter if you don't own it, or if you don't take time to make sure something is safe... You can bribe the police and goverment officials and you do whatever you want.

He is probably trying to foist himself on to Fred's genius.

I was just wondering what it was. Didn't have the time yet to ask my own wife (who happens to be chinese as well :-)) but I was a bit surprised by the detail of that site.

So it's that guy again? Russian sites, chinese sites... at least he's cosmopolitan...

Hmmm, I am not against him in any way (except for the malware stuff and pirating PB), but I guess that if he had the money he'd pay for PureBasic. China's problem is after me the power of the money. I mean everything is very cheap compared to the prices outside Asia like Europe or USA. In China you can easily get a t-shirt for 1$, but it's hard to find one at the same price somewhere else. And maybe he thinks like this: My family works a lot and we only get 50% of the product's price. Why should I buy it?

Maybe i'm wrong, i don't want to offense anyone, but I could be right as well. Just my humble opinion.

Well, maybe the bit at the very bottom that says:

"© 2002-2007 MysticBoy & PureBasic.CN"

And this logo seen at the bottom:

Look here if you're interested.

From my point of view, it's not MyticBoy's fault(in theory at least), but it IS true that many user there are making trojan/malware using PureBasic.

PureBasic in China was not popular(yet) due to lacking of advertisement and the notorious usage.

And one thing more, the domain "purebasic.cn" and the similar looking/arrangement of the forum are actually imitating and misleading users.

Does Fred really f**king care if there are PureBasic users @ China? As if asian people wouldn't be enough nerdy and dedicated that they need to use PureBasic. Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, even Koreans are f**king smart and they can do relatively everything if they want using standard programming languages like C++. Who really cares if there are PureBasic users @ China?

Ofcourse, more customers is better for Fred, but most Chinese (and Russian) PB users have pirated copies of PureBasic. Does this help Fred at all??
Let's focus on Europeans and Americans!

Firstly, beware the language use, I hope you're educated and can think(positively).

How do you split people with the definition of "country"? Race, region, or language? I lived in LA before, speaks Chinese/American/Japanese, so I'm not specified to any country limiation, I bought PB for it's small size and high quality, and Fred does the job well.

For example of a programming environment thing, Some non-major language/kit are very popular in those CJK zone, especially RPG Maker XP, it's also liked by English users(European/American).

In contrast, I really didn't see users promoting PureBasic, or not enough to the point of highly visible rate. Well, it's also true that we won't say "the program was mad with Visual C++" or something, but you can tell people how easy/good it is.

And... as to eMule, ThePirateBay, Astalavista...etc, pirating isn't the patent of China/Russia, you can blame those guy who imitate the design of PB forum. but if he's a legal user, nothing to bother about.

True, that.

And spot on with the language, we're all about to loose 'zen', let's get a little more polite.
