I ordered a new mobile

Post by GeoTrail »

Yeah, finally, after having my "old" Qtek 9100 since january and my Nokia N70 since march or something I have ordered a new Nokia 6110 Navigator.

I had actually been waiting for the N95 for montsh, but when it came out and I read several tests about it I wasn't too sure about the N95. But after reading tests about the 6110 Navigator I was convinced. The battery life is much much better and the GPS is alot better.

I just bought an LG Prada phone and i love it. Easy to use (touch screen) and stylish. I was waiting for an IPhone but we are going to get ripped off here in the UK when they ship so apple can eat me. :P

I've seen a Nokia N800, but I'm not sure if you can talk to others with it. I can't find anything about it on the web hehehe.

I'm gonna get a Toshiba Portege G900 if the crashes get ironed out in the next patch. It has a yummy 800*480 screen :)

I stick to Sony Ericsson. Really nice menus and easy to handle.

Besides, best J2ME implementation around as far as I can judge ( very
developer friendly )

The only realy cool mobile phone for me would be OpenMoko based http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Main_Page
in a few months there will be the first one of them (developer versions are shipping already) called Neo1973 the company behind it is FIC.
Btw: The Nokia N800 isn't itself a phone it is built to use a small chic mbile phone you can easily put in your pocket as a bluetooth modem. So you can have a good browsing experience on a screen with acceptable size and still have a handset which is slick, small and has plenty of battery life and since it doesn't have the modem built in it can use every available network be it GPRS, EDGE, UMTS or others as long as there is a handset with bluetooth for it. If there is WLAN available there is no need for the phone and the Nokia N800 can be used to do voip including a special Skype version.
