introducing myself

Post by tspivey »

Hello. I wanted to introduce myself, and to get a feel for the user community around here. As some people from IRC already know, I'm blind. This means that I use a screen reader to access my computer, and the works. If anyone's interested, ask away; I can answer questions. Also, if interested, I can write up some tips for making programs more accessible and put them in the tips forum.

Hello tspivey! I would really like you to post accesibility tips. It is a great idea to have our programs accesible to all users. If you post them i'll try to apply them to all my future programs.

Welcome to the forums by the way. I hope you will have a good stay here.

hi tspivey,

a french guy 'gangsta93' also spoke about accessibility in the past, and freak made some changes to the PureBasic IDE to be more compatible with some applications. that was nice and welcome.

it was here :

Welcome. Usability is indeed a topic that I often ignore. Duh. I also have to pay better attention to that.

Hi T!
What kind of screenreader are you using? I had been told, perhaps wrongly, that there were only two or three types available.

I apologize for my ignorance.
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!

Welcome! :)
Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.
