Today they're giving away a WYSIWYG CHM editor. Handy.

Another help file editor/creator is HelpMaker at

Been using this one for a few years and it gets better each release. No need to worry about single day installs:):)

Comment #33 on that page: "it doesn’t allow to create a chm file, but only
to modify a pre-existing file."
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

What about Rightclick -> New -> Textfile -> Rename the extension to chm? Does that work?
