Extending colour support

Could you please extend colour support to panelgadgets, containergadgets, sizegadgets, statusbars and menus?

I can do all except menus and sizegadgets and the callback is getting very large and 'hacky' looking.

You can't change the colour of a menu without drawing the entire thing yourself.
