Ive noticed that purebasic for Amiga OS is now open source, and its made me want to try it, but I have no Amiga to try it on, would any of you reccommend any emulators for the Amiga on windows?
Im assuming it is legal to do this now as the Amiga is officially dead and no longer on sale.

Re: Amiga OS Emulator?
it is still illegal to emulate an amiga without the original ROM (the Amiga bios).Hydrate wrote:Ive noticed that purebasic for Amiga OS is now open source, and its made me want to try it, but I have no Amiga to try it on, would any of you reccommend any emulators for the Amiga on windows?

there's a company still supporting the Amiga OS 'Amiga Inc.'
here a recent news for example http://www.amiga.com./news/?art=28
since some months AmigaOS4 is out and it needs recent hardware.
but as the purebasic amiga version is built around AmigaOS3 you can just use WinUAE which is much more comfortable than a true old-amiga for testing.
WinUAE is just the emulator - it's nude - and it needs to have the AmigaOS3 ROM and a set of 6 image-disks (ADF) of the Amiga System.
there are some complete-package on the internet like here
http://amigasys.fw.hu/ or
http://amikit.amiga.sk/
