[Tutorial/HowTo] Install PureBasic 4.01 on Ubuntu Linux

Hi!

Since the question is coming up again and again, I decided to make a little tutorial about installing PureBasic 4.01 under Linux.

I did not use a native install, since I also wanted to test a "Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 german" vmWare image.
I used "wink" (www.debugmode.com) to catch the screenshots.
I took me some time, so I hope this will help.

Like everytime on Linux, there are many ways to solve one problem (like in Perl ), but I decided to take the way, that works best for me (and it worked on the first try on this image. I had no need to configure network for example - so this could be usefull for some ppl).

So, if you follow the tutorial _AND_ you have an active Internet-Connection you should be easily able to get PB running on Ubuntu!

Your tutoriual is fantastic and as far as I can see absolute correct and also probably one of the easiest ways however some things I did which may be easier:
1. you can leave the ~/bin directory away and copy the extracted purebasic folder into the home directory (~/purebasic), you can also extract using the Archiver tool if you don't like command lines.
2. then in the .bashrc you might not want to use an absolut path like
/home/freenet in your demo but maybe simply ~/purebasic/compilers (if you followed suggestion 1)

I could leave the ~/bin, but I like it, since there are more apps in ~/bin (like BlueJ, some python-related scripts, XaraLX, Pinda, ...)
And yes, I could set relative paths. But as pointed out: it's the way that works best for me (I can remember I had a keyboard problem long time ago. I was unable to type the ~ , so I took absolut path. What a bad habit.)
