Its a little 2D engine I have been working on for my own games, actually calling the engine "SR-2D". It doesn't use DX, OpenGL or PB's sprite commands.Rook Zimbabwe wrote:What is this "Pure 2D Engine" you speak of??? I am probably being dense and it is simply the 2D functions in PB... but I thought I would ask...
On the "tools" section of Freak's site there is a Tetris example that would give you the basics of what I am doing. The methods I am using are the same, only I learned them from the book.

In my "engine" I have implemented things like standard box collision and zone based collision and am working on sprite animation. The games I am making really don't bounce around many sprites, so this is perfect for me.
I also plan to emulate BlitzPlus's "canvas" and "buffer" commands just as I am so used to using them in the past and they are easier for me to work with, not to mention more "intuitive" to me.
