just easier: open the case and remove all cables between USB and mother.
ok, only for front-USB, mother-integrated USB-Ports are not always removable...
but perhaps there is a possibility in the BIOS or a mouse-piano, where you can swith usb of in general.
oh... and have a nice day.

Honestly -- what data ? warez , pr0n, pics of your s...nevermind ? :)
Another hint: have you tried using a password for your computer ? *g* ( You can even lock it up from BIOS if needed ).

I think Searching the forum is much more better than eating stupid anwers from users that wont even trust somebody who is serious in asking questions...

Thanks for the Humiliations anyway...

Thing is if somone IS stealing your data then he has to boot something first anyway. Otherwise theres hardly anything you can do to protect yourself from ( apart using a crypto-fs ) ...

I agree. If you are serious about protecting your data, use something like TrueCrypt, a open source disk encryption software for Windows and Linux. http://www.truecrypt.org/ You can encrypt a portion of the drive/USB stick or all of it. This would solve your issue (assuming your friend is not a cryptologist).

If not, as you may have figured it by now, nobody here is going to help you build an application with the intentions of harming another user.

what do you mean "steal"...
and on wich computer? yours at home? in school?
Exactly, where is this computer. If it's at school then maybe you aren't allowed to encrypt.

Give us some more information and maybe people will try to help and even give you a bit more respect.

You'll find the community extremely helpful when you provide the information they ask for. You'll also find the community cautious if they don't understand the 'motivation' behind the question.

Trust is a two way street. Give us the answers to the questions we ask and you'll have a much better chance of getting something other than 'Humiliations' :)

cheers

Exactly,
and if this computer is at home, who is stealing from it you do not want to?
I just don't understand?

When you are not using your computer put at at the windows login screen (if you are using windows I assume) and password protect the accounts...

maybe im just a newbie here so i dont know i should also include my intentions..

ofcourse Im kinda shy about telling this simple problem of mine..

well i have 2 sisters.(w/c is also a programmers). since i was the younger one, they always check my files w/c sometimes contain pictures of my crushes and print it and gave it to my dad, and one time my father (w/c is a programmer too) made a contest for us 3, that who will give the best code, shall have a awsome price. I, created a BOT for YahooMessenger. but then when I got to go on school( I Left my computer open because i was downloading a game), stole my codes and delete it from my computer. They Used USB to pass the code. then presented it as their own code to my father and win the contest. I tried to explain but my dad wont belive me because of my young age. I was soo mad at them that i was determine to mess up their computers using a virus infecting itself when a USB is inserted
to my computer. and since no one helped me, i asked this question to have authentication in USB drive.

since then, im creating softwares to suit my needs instead of installing softwares w/c i dont even have a idea how it work . to learn Ofcourse.

and also, im using PB because they dont know about it.. yea they can steal it but they dont know how to explain it how it work.

Well, I really do not want to help you with that problem of yours there. As I said, I do not understand what is wrong with just password protecting your account on your computer and going to the login screen when you are not by your computer.

Revenge is not the way to go. Who cares if she stole your code, it tells you that you are the better programmer. It is important that you know that, not that everyone else does, but your sister knows that too now. You do not need to get revenge because for her whole life now she will feel the guilt of what she has done, she might not express it, but most likely she knows she has done wrong and suffers from what she did.

like ive said, I must "TRY" to solve my problem instead of using any software to excel myself in programming.

and also, I DONT KNOW WHY YOU GUYS PUSHING ME AT THE EDGE OF ALMOST TELLING YOU THAT THE WHOLE REASON WHY IM ASKING THIS STUPID QUESTION IS BECAUSE I WANT TO CREATE A VIRUS!!

I told you a hundread times that Ive Change my mind! Im just doing a software that will authenticate any use of USB in my computer! thats all i want. now if you dont want to help me that is FINE w/ me. thanks anyway
