Indeed a good question!
(Although i think paint.net is??, never seen it though)

But don't forget asp.net, so far the only reason to use .net
And then there is mono, so maybe.. ever.. we can write multi os apps properly.

So far i did not get a linux version to run properly (under VPC) and i didn't understand what to do to install for mono.
Call me stupid but linux stuff is beyond me so far..

hehe.

I wouldn't know one end of a Linux installation from another, so you don't need to call me stupid as it's already my middle name!

I'm stupider than both of you, have only 2 brain cells left, am extremely ugly, old and decrepid.

And I can still install, run, work and play on many linuxes!!!

That wizard srod couldn't conjure up a cheese sandwich if he was standing in a shop surrounded by cheese sandwiches and with cheese sandwiches shoved into his underpants!

Now, I'm off to Hogwarts to join my old pal Voldermort!

Lucky you! For me it was, PBWin $200, PBConsole $170, PBForms $150, PwrDev $130, FireFly $100, Phoenix $100, EZ-GUI $200, for a total of $1,050! All wasted. If it was allowed, I'd sell it all, but none of the licenses are transferable... :(

True, but you can have all three frameworks installed at the same time so that's not such a big problem.

Streets & Trips 2007 requires and installs the .NET framework 2.0

Wow, from what I read it doesn't even seem that PowerBASIC would be worth to leech from warez sites!
