construct a robot arm and connect it to LPT1.
make the arm pull the power-wire, and the PC will be off.
oh... and have a nice day.

Wire the PC with a remote bomb. Press the button when it needs to be off.

For detecting if a removable disk is in the pc, place security camera's around the Computer and have a security guard monitor it 24/7, he'll tell you if he see's one.

Why don't you just encrypt your files or store them in a password protected ZIP or something.

There are literally dozens of ways to secure your files, you could upload them to your personal webspace.

Don't try and do things the hard way.

Or you could just take your hard disk with you when you go out.

britoniah3480: you can't do this without API. You need a registered version of purebasic. You do know, that the authors runs check on the registered forum users if they are registered and not, and if they find you not to be your internet provider will be informed! Better purchase as fast as possible to make sure they don't do that.

Simple solution: Block all your USB-holes with gum and toilet paper. Always worked for me!
