Perpetual motion

Post by Fangbeast »

1. Everyone knows the theory that postulates that when a piece of buttered toast falls on to a carpet, its' tendency to do so depends proportionally to the cost of the carpet.

2. Everyone knows the theory that postulates that when a cat is thrown out the window, it lands on its' feet, fighting gravitys' natural tendency to land it anyway it can.

Therefore, we postulate that if you strap a piece of buttered toast to a cat and throw it out the window over a very expensive carpet, the two opposing forces cancel each other out and the cost of the carpet is no longer relevant as is the law of gravity.

The tendency of the cat to land on its' feet fights with the natural tendency of the buttered toast to fall buttered side down on an expensive carpet and the two will just revolve in place without ever landing.

You have now invented (In order of importance)..

A perpetual motion machine
A giddy cat with fur that looks windswept (great for a model look)
Wind dried buttered toast.

:D

I'm gonna give that a try, using my next door neighbour's pesky cat.

Actually, I might switch the toast for a bag of bricks!
I may look like a mule, but I'm not a complete ass.

I don't have a cat but I want to try this. So...i'm going to go get the neighbors cat out from under the left front wheel of my car and give this a try.

I postulate that the cat will, when thrown out the window with the toast strapped to it, whirl like a lopsided frizbee and possibly break the time-space barrier.

Is margarine a good substitute for the butter?

:)

may not work though as it doesn't involve any ballbearings, and as everyone knows, ballbearings are the key to everything. :)

Margarine is acceptable as long a sit doesn't contain ballbearings.

Just a thought Srod, if it was me, I think I would get a really long extension cord, forget the toast, just work out a way to get the cat into the toaster, turn on the toaster while connected to the long lead & then throw out the window ( prebuttering the cat might help.... )

I was imagining the cat and buttered toast this morning and now I see a demonstration.
