Don't see how it could be faster. There's always a copy or two on usenet waiting for download.

Course if you're on a 56kb line, mail/shipping might be faster :)

Maybe we can order it and have it sent to a US address to someone on the forum and they can send it back to us ;)

Well, maybe hard because...

- Enrolled Students of eligible educational institutions
- Public Libraries
- Public Museums
- Home-School Programs

important: If you order an academic priced software, you must provide proof of academic eligibility before your order can be shipped.

Or you can download off usenet for free
Maybe this forum isn't the place to discuss warez?

If you want a legit copy of Visual Studio 2005, just get one of the express versions. They are really free.

Probably not. I meant no disrespect to software authors, producers or sellers. The point was not to endorse warez but to ask whether one method was preferable to another. They are all 'questionable' ways to obtain the software. Not wanting to start a flame war here, but is one way of breaking the license agreement 'better' than another?

cheers

Yup, DD has hit the nail on the head... why not just use the express versions : http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/

Pretty much the full deal with a cost of $0.

No problem :) I personally have no problems at all with the warez scene.

Software piracy is illegal no matter the reason.

If you can't afford to buy Visual Studio Professional then you don't get to use it. It's that simple.

Just because I can't afford a Ferrari doesn't mean I'm in the clear to go steal one.
