Router without a firewall

I currently have a D-Link DI-604 router.

Before I got it I used the Windows XP built-in firewall and had no problems.

Now I have some programs that simply won't work behind the router's firewall, so...

I'm looking for something similar to the DI-604 or their EBR-2310 that doesn't have a firewall, all I want is to share the DSL modem with two computers and will run the built-in firewall on them.

Anyone know of such a product?

Alternatively, the router supports UPnP (Universal Plug-n-Play) but the documentation give little to no information about what it would do for me, so I have left it turned off and UPnP in Windows disabled.

If anyone knows what UPnP would do for me or could point me to more information about it, I'd appreaciate it.

Hi,

I don't know this product, but all routers I know are able to disable (or adapt) the firewall functions. Have you ever looked into the web-interface, if this is also possible on your router?

My router does have a web interface and I've looked through it.

It has a DMZ mode that can put a computer outside the firewall but it only works for one computer at a time.

It also has virtual server modes but again it only works for one computer at a time.

One of the nice features D-Link has on their web site is emulations of their router web interfaces. Very handy for seeing all the setings you can adjust before buying.

The emulator for the DI-604 is here.
(It will ask for a password just like the real router does, just leave it blank)

Hmm,

had a look into the internet - a lot of guys talking about problems with that router depending on the firmware version. Maybe you'll find a solution there (I found some good comments - but in german - at http://forum.dlink.de/topic.asp?ARCHIVE ... C_ID=34314)
