Dreamotion3d (and PhysX) continuation...
I ve been looking up the S3/Unichrome IGP specs.
That GPU trypically is used in laptops using 8 - 128 MB shared memory.
Spec's say that this GPU supports up to DirectX 7 commandsets - minus a T&L Unit. All in all this is more like a Office GPU where barely 3D is needed.
Problem could be there.
As DM3d uses alot of new DX9 Calls ( and we know DX emulates non-supported features by software ) , this could be the problem.
I've been testing DM3d ona S3/Virge which i have here ( and i get the crash also ) - probably due missing features ( Granted the card only has 8 MB Vid mem also ) =P

The engine progresses very well, but I still did not regulate the problems with
the too old video cards. The physical engine evolved well, and of new functions
are available in the graphical engine. The last version on line from here a few
days (nearest weekend if all is well).
I hope to be able to provide a doc in English from here to May.

Thanks tmyke
I think drop support for a certain VERY OLD video card is reasonable, it's a DX9 engine.... we can make a survey and judge the card range.
And don't push the development with those "Any Progress" thing, you can judge the progress and post if it's required.
I still have Eliza3D on my HD, and it's already pretty great IMHO.

7000 card it's too old to run correctly Dreamotion3d.Rook Zimbabwe wrote:So what is the minimum specs you see this has for now? My wife has a p3 1.2GHz machine with 512Ram
and a Radeon 7000 card I could try this on. She has DX9 on board and can run Neverwinter
Knights (keeps her happy) etc.
We made certain technical choices which are not in favour of card too old.
Sorry.
We try to solve the problem so that in the months to come, even old card can be run with DM3D.
DM3D is still in version Beta, and many improvements are going to arrive.
