The fastest symmetrical DSL techology is SHDSL which can reach 2,304 kbit/s up and down.

is this 2304000bit/sec ? i.e little bit more than 2Mbit/s ?
you has ADSL2+ which offer 20Mbit/s (10 times SHDSL)

2x 2.25Mbit = 4.5Mbit..
sounds like same bandwidth as 4Mbit download, 0.5Mbit upload... (?)
(with standard assymetric up/down)
oh... and have a nice day.

You can calculate with a 20% loss on ADSL lines through copper that a fiber does not have.

symmetrical not asymmetrical
ADSL(2+): Upload rate <> Download rate
SDSL/SHDSL: Upload rate = Download rate
