I am not sure there in USA, but at least in Spain, Apple Mac is the same death than Commodore Amiga. My suspicion is than in Europe is the same fact.

Well, you're wrong. Here in Germany Macs are quite popular.
Maybe you don't see many Macs in Spain as spanish salaries aren't that high...

That is hard to believe to me.
Even in Spain the salaries are lower, i doubt that Mac would be popular, because rational people (agree there are not too much like that!) want and use a computer to DO THINGS, not to see it and say "oh, what a wonderful computer i have!".
So then, if macs and pc are more or less the same in performance features (in fact even the pcs are better), and macs are expansiver, then only capricious people purchase a mac.
EDIT: conclusion: Fred is working now just for capricious people
