Adding your software to www.Download.com

Post by Kale »

One thing that's always perplexed me is how on earth do you add your own software for download at www.download.com ?

Has anybody here every submitted a program to them? If so, how?

I did, but it was beta so they wouldn't list it. :P
Didn't remember what I clicked but try "sign up" or something!

I have a Scrabble clone listed there called WordConnect. I wrote it two years ago in Gamemaker and used their tools at upload.com to submit it. Because it was a free listing, they put me on a slow-moving waiting list and it was about two months before it was available for download. It's been up there two years now and they haven't done a review on it. The service you get from them all depends on what you're paying. They have a multi-tiered system where you can pay for faster service and more prominent display of your software in their listings. I think the cost to have it available next day was something like $250.
