Trance version @ http://www.supload.com/listen?s=SDiu85ZiAd7
Toxic version @ http://www.supload.com/listen?s=Slw01Ohs9-A

Please give me some feedback :)
I am thinking of designing some small games, and I got inspired enough to make a small tune :P

Thanks!

Its not a beat, its a tune :)

Ok melody, but I would prefer a trance version(Hey, thats just me!), which is doable. You would need a bit other timings, though.

Reminds me a bit of some song with the lyrics "million pieces" or something like that.

That was just a simple tune :P
I'll see if I can make a trance version :)

Oh and that is 60 bpm

Not that kind of timing, i meant when the note shifts where. I would use a bit of "noisy" strings for it. Listen at this i made a while ago [yes it sucks, but who cares hehe]: untitled_bells.mp3 (1.6 mb)

I'm also working at some other stuff. Just bought "Nexus" from REFX, waiting for the mail hehe

N' reading up on stuff. Much to keep track on hehe

Yes the example was not trance, but i just thought i should try something with bells for once

I buy MusicTech magazines regularily, the DVD's that come with each issue contain some very cool beats.. and they are royalty free :P

;)
Nexus rocks. Its 300€, but seems to be worth it. Also bought an expansion. Oh and of course i have Vanguard, Sytrus and all that stuff. Software for prob 1k€, and then a bit hardware like a mixer & midi keyboards.

Its true that equipment doesn't make the music, but apparently according to some people i have a certain "gift", and equipment satisfy my technical "lusts" hehehe.
Oh and its easier & faster with the right stuff.

Currently im out for some good kickdrums, but after searching a while and not wanting to purchase a sample CD, i decided to make my own. Using right amount of compression, eq'ing, multilayering and a few other effects, you can get a nice sound hehe

Me too. See what I said ;)
The first version is simply too boring. Sorry, but thats how I feel hehe

Now you "just" need a heavier lead, a pumpy bass, a good kickdrum and some percussion. And lot's of compression as usual! Oh and strings. I love strings.

I will make the tune better.. I'm just learning and it's quite hard to make music with Linux :)
But just incase I need FL Studio, I have my Windows XP CD ready :D

Please do. And remember, in these tracks you can't get too much compression!

Oui!

Just have the main compressor at 10:1, thresh at -25db and the gain at 10 or so hehe

It's basically the trance version, but with kick drum, percussion, strings and some bass :)

I hope you like it :D
