I was refering to a very disturbing picture in a post by WishMaster. (now deleted)

It turns out that this was probably an attempt by the owners of that site to prevent external
linking to their images by replacing them with a so called "shock image" when
accessed from the outside. So while WishMaster posted a very normal image, thats not what the rest got to see...

Image tags to images on 3rd party websites are a potential problem, as you have
no power over it (the content could disappear or change at any time as was the case here)
The lesson to be learned from this is that everyone should have a close look at the site he is posting images from,
and if possible even place the image on their own webspace where they have the full control.
It is probably best to not directly include images from 3rd party webpages at all.
